Why Practice Have/Has With This Quiz?
Learners often confuse when to use have and when to use has. The rule is that has is used with third-person singular subjects (he, she, it, or singular nouns), while have is used with I, you, we, they, and plural nouns. For example: “She has a bike,” “They have bikes.”
Because have is the base form, many students overuse it and say “He have …” or “She have ….” Others go the opposite way and assume I is singular, so they incorrectly say “I has ….” Quizzes like this give students repeated practice with subject–verb agreement and help them internalize both the main rule and the exception that I always takes have.
