Food Vocabulary Game | Fun Guessing Game

This food vocabulary game is a fun guessing game to teach food vocabulary in English. Students will see 10 pictures of food hidden behind colored shapes. As the shapes disappear, students must guess what food is in the picture. This is a great introduction or review activity to teach food vocabulary. 

This game can be used in lessons with expressions such as ‘Do you like (fish)?’, ‘What would you like to eat?’, ‘What did you eat for breakfast?’, etc. This activity is absolutely FREE. Simply show this video in class from this page or from YouTube.

How To Play

To play this game, simply play the video in class. There are 10 pictures of food vocabulary hidden behind colored shapes. As the shapes slowly disappear, the food picture is revealed. Students must try to guess what the food is using the lesson’s target language. Food vocabulary includes pizza, salad, sandwiches, tacos, hamburgers, spaghetti, steak, chicken, bread, and sushi.
