How to Play this Food Emoji Game in Class
Play the video in class. In each round, students will see two or three emojis that represent a food. Pause the video after each round to give students time to think before revealing the answer. You can ask students to either say their answers out loud or write them down.
From my experience, this game works best when students play in pairs or small teams so they can discuss their ideas before answering. I also usually give each group a mini whiteboard to write their answers, as this is much more fun than using paper. Teams can write their answers clearly and hold them up for everyone to see. Make sure students take turns writing so that everyone gets a chance to participate.
If you have extra time, a great way to extend the activity is to have students come up with their own food emoji clues and challenge other teams.
