In this Person, Place, or Thing Quiz, students look at a picture of a common noun and decide whether it is a person, a place, or a thing. This activity can be used in lessons that introduce the concept of nouns for the first time, helping students build a strong foundation before moving on to more complex noun types like proper nouns and abstract nouns. If students need more practice before playing the quiz, you can use our Nouns PowerPoint Lesson to review the basics.
