How to Use This PowerPoint to Teach Seasons
The first four slides introduce the seasons with colorful pictures that show the weather and objects typically seen at that time of year. After teaching the season name, ask students what they can see in the picture and what the weather is like. This encourages them to connect the new vocabulary with real-world details.
Once students know the four season names, ask them what their favorite season is and why. This gives them a chance to practice making simple sentences such as “My favorite season is summer because it’s hot.” It also helps them personalize the vocabulary and remember it more easily.
Finally, use the guessing game at the end of the presentation to review. Click the colored squares to make them disappear one by one, and have students guess which season is being revealed underneath.
