How to Teach Uppercase and Lowercase Letters With This PowerPoint

Display the PowerPoint and use it to model how to write each letter. The teacher can use their finger (or a pointer) to follow the stroke guides on the screen while students watch. Then have students draw the letters in the air using their finger. This helps learners understand how to follow the stroke guides and write each letter in the correct order before writing on paper.

Use each slide to introduce the letter name and practise saying it together as a class. You can also use the images on each slide to introduce or review the letter sounds. Teach a small number of letters at a time (around 4–5 per lesson), as learning all 26 uppercase and lowercase letters at once can be overwhelming for young learners.
