Games To Teach Jobs in English
1. Jobs and Occupations Guessing Game
This game to teach jobs vocabulary is a ‘hidden picture’ style game. To play, simply show the video in class. There are 10 pictures of professions hidden behind colored shapes. As the shapes slowly disappear the job picture is revealed. Students must try to guess what the job is before the picture is revealed.
This activity is a great way to introduce or review jobs and occupations vocabulary.
2. ‘What Am I?’ Quiz – Jobs and Professions
This game to teach jobs vocabulary is a ‘What Am I?’ quiz. To play, simply show the video in class. There are 10 rounds. In each round students will see three clues describing a profession. Students must then try to guess what job is being described. To answer students can either simply raise their hand or write their answer on an answer sheet. This is a great activity to review jobs and occupations vocabulary.
