Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who set out to seek their fortunes. Before they left home, their mother warned them to build strong houses to protect themselves from the big bad wolf.
The first little pig built his house out of straw because it was the easiest thing to do. The second little pig built his house out of sticks. It was a bit stronger than the straw house, but still not very sturdy. The third little pig worked hard and built his house out of bricks.
One day, the big bad wolf came along. He knocked on the door of the straw house and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.” The first little pig answered, “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!” So the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down. The first little pig ran to the second pig’s house made of sticks.
The wolf followed and knocked on the stick house’s door. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” he said. The second little pig replied, “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!” So the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the stick house down. The two pigs ran to the third pig’s brick house.
The wolf followed them and knocked on the brick house’s door. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” he said. The third little pig answered, “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!” So the wolf huffed and puffed, but he couldn’t blow the brick house down. He tried and tried, but the house was too strong.
Finally, the wolf gave up and went away. The three little pigs lived happily ever after in their strong brick house.
