Future Tense Exercises
These future tense exercises will help you practise making sentences with will and going to. Both forms are used to talk about the future, but they are used in different situations.
We usually use will for predictions, promises, offers, and decisions made at the moment of speaking. For example, I think it will rain tomorrow or I will help you with that. We usually use going to for plans, intentions, and predictions based on evidence. For example, We are going to visit Spain next summer or Look at those dark clouds. It is going to rain.
A simple way to remember the difference is that will is often used for opinions and quick decisions, while going to is often used for plans that already exist or situations where there is clear evidence that something will happen. Try the exercises below to practise using both future forms correctly.
