Body Parts Game – Fun Vocabulary Activity for Kids
Teach body parts vocabulary in a fun and active way with this video game for kids. Students will first hear and repeat 12 common body part names, and then test their knowledge with a quick quiz. Each question shows an image of a body part and gives students a few seconds to choose the correct word. It’s a simple, no-prep activity you can use in class or during online lessons.
How to Play This Body Parts Game
To play, simply show the video in class. First, students will see a cartoon boy with 12 different body parts labeled. Instruct them to listen to the words and repeat them as they are introduced. After hearing all 12 body parts, you can pause the video if students need more practice. Say each word aloud and ask them to repeat after you.
Once they’ve practiced the vocabulary, play the video again to begin the quiz. In this section, students will see a picture of a body part and must choose the correct word from two possible answers.
To answer, students can raise their hands, call out the answer, or write it down. For a more energetic option, have students move to one side of the room to show their choice. For example, if they think the answer is A, they move to the left side of the classroom. If they think it’s B, they move to the right. This simple movement keeps kids engaged and turns the quiz into an active game.
After Playing This Game
After playing this game, students should have a good understanding of basic body parts vocabulary. You can reinforce this knowledge with a simple activity like Simon Says or by singing Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. These activities help review the vocabulary in a fun, physical way and keep students actively involved in the lesson.
