Choose Your Gift Game

Choose Your Gift Game – Adjectives

This Choose Your Gift game is a fun and interactive way to review adjectives in English. In each round, students see two gifts: one “good” and one “bad.” Choosing the good gift earns points, while choosing the bad gift loses points. The game works well as an adjective review activity or just as a fun extra-time classroom game.

Choose Your Gift Game – How to Play

  1. Play the video for the class. There are 10 rounds in total.
  2. In each round, two adjectives are shown (one positive and one negative) describing the gifts.
  3. Students have 5 seconds to choose red or blue.
  4. The gift is revealed.
    • Good gift = plus points
    • Bad gift = minus points
  5. The student or team with the most points at the end wins.

Teaching Tip:

After each round, have students make a sentence using the adjective:

  • “It’s an old car.”
  • “It’s an expensive watch.”

This turns the game into speaking or writing practice, not just a guessing challenge.
