A PowerPoint for teaching jobs and occupations in English

Jobs and Occupations PowerPoint – ESL Lesson for Beginners

This simple PowerPoint is designed to introduce the names of common jobs and occupations in English. There are 40 slides in total, each showing a clear picture of the job along with the job title.

Since 40 jobs can be too many for one beginner lesson, teachers can choose how many to cover depending on their students’ level. The slideshow is organized so that the most common jobs appear first, ones usually taught in beginner ESL courses, such as teacher, firefighter, doctor, and police officer. As the presentation continues, it introduces less common and more advanced job vocabulary, such as architect, surgeon, and optician, which are more suitable for higher-level learners.
