Fun Halloween PPT Game for Kids

This free Halloween PowerPoint game is a fun way to practice Halloween vocabulary with kids and beginner English learners. Students play in teams and race to the candy while reviewing words they’ve learned.

How to Use This Halloween PPT Game in Class

To play this game, divide your class into two teams. One team will be the Witch, and the other will be the Ghost. Students take turns choosing a letter on the screen and saying the Halloween word that appears. If they get it correct, return to the main slide and click on their character to move it forward toward the candy. The race continues with each team taking turns until one of the characters reaches the candy first. That team wins some Halloween Candy.

Tip: Young learners can sometimes get upset when they lose, especially if candy is involved. To keep the game fun for everyone, play Students vs. Teacher instead. Let the students go first, and as the teacher, “lose” on purpose so the class wins the race together. That way, everyone can celebrate and enjoy some Halloween candy at the end.
